I spent the holiday weekend wandering aimlessly around the big box stores, hoping to find items that I'd be excited to give to family and friends. Instead, I found a whole bunch of nothing. With the turn of the calendar to December, I'm starting to get a bit anxious about my holiday buying; I feel like so much that's out there in the gift aisles is overdone, or it's already been bought two Christmases ago. This holiday season, I feel like there isn't any "it" gift or electronic, that would delight and entertain gift recipients. I find myself almost longing for the days of the George Foreman Grill and the Snuggie (I did say ALMOST).
Rather than go the gift card route (which is useful but impersonal), I decided to put my research skills to use and find fun items that have a beach or ocean vibe to them. It seems that so many people on my gift-buying list have an affinity for all things beach and coastal.
