We know that world and national politics are heating up, but we thought we would lighten things up a bit, and talk about the real question that people over the age of 25 are asking: What the heck is a VSCO girl?
Quick definition: VSCO girl is a term for a young woman who posts trendy pictures of herself edited on the photo editing app, VSCO. Most VSCO users started using the app as a simple photo editing tool, because VSCO allows them to add unique and interesting filters that can make even the most mundane and simple photos look interesting. Eventually, the VSCO and VSCOcam hashtags became a platform where girls could post and repost their true feelings about life in general. Popular subjects include: boys, school, drama, friends, and fashion.
Also, a VSCO girl has a very specific look: a Hydro Flask water bottle covered in stickers, a scrunchie around her wrist, a crop top or oversized tee, a handmade friendship bracelet, a puka shell necklace, and Birkenstocks or Crocs.
For the most part, VSCO girls are thin and white, and have enough money to purchase all of the various high-end items consistent with the trend.
