"Sharks On Shore" is a Call to Action

In the summer of 1977, my best friend, whom my family and I affectionately called “Pamela P. Pictures Don't Lie......

Way back in The Stone Age, when I attended college, my cronies and I used to take a lot of pictures.  Only it was vastly different than it is now.  It required work. We had to traipse around with a bulky camera all night, and to hope that we remembered to turn the flash on.  There was ‘red eye’ galore, and there were many wasted snapshots of the floor or the ceiling.  What’s more, we had to send the film away to be developed, and it would sometimes be weeks before we’d have the actual pictures in hand. BEACH GAMES FOR THE WIN!

We're not going to lie. Saying goodbye to the magic yellow school bus last week had us "shaking in our flip-flops."  How on earth were we going to keep these kids entertained, and off of their respective mobile devices? We absolutely lived in fear of the addictive qualities of the "f" word - FORTNITE. What could we do to survive and win the summer battle, with funds still available in our bank accounts, and with children whom we can honestly say we enjoyed spending the summer with? Once More to Summer

In honor of Father's Day weekend, we thought we would post one of our favorite essays, "Once More to the Lake."  This classic, beautiful, essay was written by the great E.B.
