We have a delicious tradition in our family where, every time we have a snow day, we make chocolate chip banana bread. Nothing is better than coming in from shoveling and playing in the snow, and being greeted by the sweet-smelling bread, baking in the oven. The problem is, the banana bread is supposed to be a sometimes treat. Here in New England, we've had four Nor'Easters in a row; suddenly, we realize we've been stuffing our faces with the decadent banana bread, going on a full month now. The sun is shining, the days are getting longer and lighter, and it's time to celebrate the human race! We absolutely love this story of two paramedics of the Queensland, Australia, Ambulance Service, who went "above and beyond" to grant a dying female patient's wish to view the beach one final time. Take time out of your day to recognize caregivers, teachers, family, and friends, whose empathy makes the world an infinitely better place. Heck, why not even perform a random act of kindness, and think of this gurney, situated atop the coast, with the primo water views! Sometimes, it's...

"What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness." - John Steinbeck When you consider yourself a summer person, January in New England is always tough. The freezing cold temperatures make even a mundane task like taking out the trash seem comparable to scaling Mount Everest. The cold weather, coupled with a thick middle from holiday overeating, and a thin bank account from holiday overspending, make the month downright depressing. Well, step away from the liquid courage of a warm beverage, and start thinking about sinking your toes into the warm sand of...

Happy Friday! Do you remember watching the first Star Wars, in 1977? We do, and we remember thinking how strange that faraway galaxy of robotic droids and high-tech electronics seemed...Well, it's now 40+ years later, and that fictitious world is starting to seem mainstream. Four decades of voracious Star Wars fandom can't be wrong - it really is all about "the force!" As proof, we offer this clip of an amazing drone, stepping in to rescue two swimmers in Australia. Now, if we could just figure out how to get these beach drones to deliver a lobster roll, fries, and...
